I am usually inspired by the natural world on my daily walks along the beach, observing the rhythms of the sea and changes in the weather. "Under the Weather: wondering whether they'd find her" is the complete opposite of my usual environment. The urban landscape is alien to me, both seductive and sinister. I have placed my figure in it, alone and vulnerable, exposed to the elements. I have enhanced and saturated my colour palette to give a sense of depth and shadow.
