I photograph and weave shadows fused with the surface of the land to look for a connection with the past. Gaia the ancient Greek goddess and Gaia theory present mythological and scientific views of that contact. At any moment, the shadow on the land, or the land itself could disappear and myself with it. In this weaving, memories from drinking tea out of china cups and surrounded by Cosmos flowers at the foot of Rakaposhi peak in Pakistan fuse with memories of the Sussex Downs. Tree branches and human shadow connect and merge together into the fabric of the land.
