Reminiscent of victorian shell decorations and medieval icons. We all remember things in different ways. I remember the texture of the sand. You probably remember something different. It could have been the day we had an argument, then laughed, then held hands and ran into the sea. We try to preserve the memory as object but there is only now. My mother talked about the shell grotto at Margate.
