2021 | 98cm x 82cm | Woven Tapestry. Cotton warp, cotton, linen and wool weft.
During lockdown in 2020, I meditated on and recreated the memory of misty mornings experienced on the water in Newtown Creek, Isle of Wight. The incoming and outgoing tides changed the eye line and hid or revealed the stakes that marked the remains of the medieval harbour walls. Water, land and sky are interpreted in cotton, linen and wool. My weavings are meditations on colour, space and movement.
