2012 | 68cm x 52cm | Woven Tapestry. Cotton warp, linen, lurex, wool, cotton and fishing line in weft.

Woven for the exhibition "Tapestry Mischief". My theme is the narrative aspect of the hunt from the Devonshire Hunting Tapestries at the V&A. These tapestries depict the elaborate rituals of the hunt and give us a glimpse of how the participants dressed and behaved. Saturday Night Mischief is a contemporary “hunting tapestry”. Three girls are out on the ritual Saturday night hunt for adventure in our urban landscape. Artificial lights spill unnatural colours across the pavement. Nature is not present, only the figures are live, acting out their own scenes of the hunt and searching for that elusive good time, dressed to kill.
