2018 | 33cm x 52cm | Bleached cotton warp. Wool, cotton, silk, white raffia and various novelty yarns. Beads, fishing line and vegetable nets were included.

This tapestry was woven for the CADArts (Christchurch and District Arts) exhibition called 4U2 Touch II. 4U2 Touch II is the second CADArts exhibition for the visually impaired where exhibits can be touched and enjoyed by all. All media such as paintings, textiles, wood, and sculptures were included in this exhibition. I used supplementary warp techniques. The bleached white warp was frayed in places to give the effect of breaking waves. My inspiration came from my experiences of sailing in Christchurch Bay and the way in which the waves change when the wind increases. I also included the pot marker buoys which are hazardous when the sea is rough and the waves are high.
